Pre-Heated Rivalry Queer Men’s Comedy Dating Show

Pre-Heated Rivalry is a live queer men’s comedy dating show where blind dates, bold questions, and unhinged fun collide in one Valentine’s night of banter and connection. Hosted by drag queen Loosey LaDuca, the show is half improv, half genuinely helping men who like men meet each other in real life instead of just swiping.

Think of it as a playful pre-game to the world of Heated Rivalry: less hockey, more flirting, and a room full of people who might just be your next boyfriend, fling, or rivalry-turned-romance.

What the night looks like:

• The Warm-Up: Loosey kicks things off with about ten minutes of crowd work and banter, getting to know who’s in the room and building some inside jokes and references to call back to throughout the show.
• Blindfolded Dates: A small number of pre-selected participants head to the stage for blindfolded matchmaking. Loosey guides them through cheeky questions and playful prompts while the audience watches the tension, chemistry, or chaos unfold in real time.
• Audience Matchmaking: Not on a blindfolded date? You can still get in on the action. Audience members who are open to meeting someone can raise their hands as Loosey scouts for promising bachelors, chats with them, and pulls a few up for live, on-stage matchmaking. Questions are asked, potential matches are chosen, and you’ll see if any sparks catch fire under the lights.
• Spicy Twists: If a date clearly isn’t landing or there’s obvious interest from someone offstage, Loosey may shake things up by swapping partners or inviting a new person into the mix, keeping things fun, flirty, and full of surprises.

It’s part comedy show, part dating experiment: you can come to find a crush, cheer on the chaos, or just enjoy watching queer men shoot their shot with a drag queen running interference.

Where: New Park Brewing, West Hartford – cozy taproom vibes, excellent beer but we’ve got a full bar, and plenty of room to make eye contact (or avoid it) across the room.
